NO SOUND!!! SiS 7018 problem

Hi, my problem is that everytime I restart or shutdown my pc, my onboard soundcard doesn't work (SiS 7018). But when I install the same driver again, it works!
I have a: AMD Duron 850mhz M810lr V3 Geforce FX 5200 256 mb SDRAM Windows XP Professional

Hi Ashley: Have you look at the Control Pannel/System/Device Manager to see if drivers from sound card are there when not working. If it is then you might have a bad sound card chip or some of the files are getting corrupted. If you can't get sound chip to work you should be able to turn it off in bios & buy a PCI slot sound card, before adding new sound card it's a good idea to remove the current sound device from device manager before installing new card.

Hi again: See if you can find out if there are any newer drivers for that sound chip for XP, may be a problem with current drivers.
