Hello! I have the next problem. I use external Freecom parallel CD-rom. When I playing audio CD there is no sound from laptop speaker. When I playing MP3, everything is good. My sound card is ES 1869, CPU - 150MHz, 98Mb RAM, OS - windows 98. I tried to turn on MCI device in control panel, multimedia, but it is impossible. I see "driver is turn off". And I can't turn on it. My cd-rom has earphone jack and audio RCA outputs. When I connect my earphones to cd-rom I can hear the music. But what is wrong with my PC speaker? I tried different programs of CD player, but - silence in my laptop speaker. What is this?
