I recently purchased some PC2700 DDR-333 RAM and a 19 inch LCD monitor. I opened up my tower to install the RAM, which went in smoothly, I clickd it in, hooked up the new monitor, and then saw "no signal" on the monitor. The boots, making all the correct sounds ("boop," hard drive spinning up, CPU spins) but there is no signal to the monitor, and the mouse and keyboard don't light.
Courses of action I've taken:
1. Plugging in old monitor- same thing, leading me to believe it is an issue with the memory addition
2. Plugging AGP vidcard (nVidia GeForce 4400) into family's Dell computer- works fine
3. Plugging family's vidcard into my AGP slot- same result, boot with no signal
4. Reset CMOS jumper- same
5. Took out battery on motherboard- no effect with a removal of about a minute, trying a longer duration now. This is all being done with the soundcard and ide-controller removed. The only PCI device plugged in is the ethernet adapter.
Any thoughts?

does it work with the ram you had before adding
