Do you have an actual video "card" or does the monitor connect to the motherboard's graphics port? What happens when you boot the system - any lights, fans, or beeps? You need to explain in more detail what's happeneing.

It's pluged in the vga port, blue colored port, and yes It does have a video card. The desktop is a friend of mine, which somebody gave him. Anyway, as far as sounds coming out of it, I here nothing. Just the same, you hook the monitor up,and it just show's no signal. I then hooked up my desktop, and no problem. So I did some search on the web, and it said when your monitor show's no signal it's usually the video card. Now I'm not sure what it is.

The problem was the video card, I slid the side off, and reset the card, and screen appeared. The only thing now is the screens black, and I have hit f2 to continue. Is this bios problem.
