Comment:

I'm building a new PC. And I believe I have all the wires inside connected correctly. The problem is...I hear it booting up, but the monitor keeps saying "NO SIGNAL" I know the board and chip and everything else work because they were all in my other computer. The monitor also works because I tried it on my other computer.

Here is what I have in it:

Athlon xp 2400+
Radeon ATI 9700 pro 128mb
Onboard sound
Asus motherboard
512 DDR ram

Any ideas? =(

The Radeon video card may not be properly seated into the slot. Remove it and reinsert it. Of course the card can be bad, but that's less likely.

Good luck,

Does that motherboard have on-board graphics as well? Might need to go into the Bios Setup screen and turn it off.
