funny thing my monitor,
i would like some help.......

I have no red in my display,
however,
i do have red when i use the tv
and
i do have red on the monitor when i try adjust the monitor with the monitors own buttons,(the ones at the front of the monitor)
but
the red is only on the window that shows the monitor configuration.the rest of the screen remains red free.

I have 1 nvidia 32mb & 1 nvidia 64mb card,(not in at the same time)both work with my other rig, both work on this rig, (with another monitor)

I am really confused

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....

possible broken wire in cable between monitor & computer. disconnect monitor cable at computer to see if any bent pins. if there is a drum shape bulge on cable, try to wiggle the cable between computer & bulge to see if red comes back

cable is soldered to the monitor, however i grabbed a pair of needle pliers and pulled that #1 pin real hard and it popped about 2mm, and now i have red.

thanks for the help.

and if it blows up its a damn good reason to get a new flat screen

They make "sacrifical" male/female cable ends to put at the end of your monitor cable. It might be a good idea to protect the end of your cable with one of these knowing that that pin is messed up.

I haven't seen too many monitors with detachable cables.

My son had the same problem with a pin pushed in. Pulled it back out with long nose pliers and he was back in business.
