I was recieving a 192 error for my ibm thinkpad. I tried replacing the cmos battery and i also bought a new fan. I just tested both of my fans today (the old one and the one i bought). They both work so i tested the fan plug in the comp. I determined that no power is going to this connector. Do you think i have to replace the whole motherboard or could it be serviced? Im probably going to take it in but i wanted some input first. thanks.

First thing to do is jump on IBM's website and see if you can find out if the fan is supposed to run at all times or if it's thermally controlled and only runs when the machine thinks it needs it.
