I bought a new motherboard and installed it. I had power at first and started the bios/cmos settings then it didin't recognize the floppy. So I unplugged the wires and re attactched them and now the computer won't even turn on. I have double checked all of the connections several times and still it won't come on. I even checked to see if the connection to the actual power button was ok......Help

Unplug the system, remove the battery, and take a break, put it back together after a bit, Im thinking you may have unwilling changed something in the bios, this will reset it for you.

All ATX systems require 250W or higher. Even though it booted once, that PWS you have is not doing the trick! If this motherboard is new, go get yourself a 350W PWS. and watch your system come to life!

I went out and got a new power supply 350 w. Then we re-set the bios and re-set the cmos.... now i get a big error message about a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down,,,yada yada

It talks about checking for viruses on your computer and remove any new drivers or hard drive controlers and to check if the hard drive is properly configured and terminated. then it says to run chkdsk/f

then a technical info

How can i do all of this if I cant even get windows to boot up?

Well now you have power.

Is this Hard drive from a prior system??
If so and you are using WinXP, windows will not boot OK due to the fact that XP was set up on your previous configuration.

If this is not the case, try booting to Safe mode.
