i cant get my dvd rom to boot first how do i do it

change boot order in the bios. you get into bios by tapping a certain key when you switch on. it will be one of these;
f1 f2 f10 or Delete key but i dont know which for your pc.
If it still wont boot from that drive it might be that the drive or the cd/dvd disc is less than perfect and it gives up trying too quickly before going to the hard drive as normal (i have known that problem)
