I dont know much abt computer and stuff and I've just messed up my laptop. Plz help me. I dont know what to do.
I bought a laptop vaio with window vista. It worked well at first. Then i registered the window version with microsoft. Evrything was still fine. But after turning off and on again, it said my window version isnt genuine. I tried to type my production code which i found on the back of the laptop but it said that code is invalid. Then i tried to restore my laptop with the proggram provided inside the laptop. In the middle, it froze. I cant cancel it nor continue. So i turned it off. When i turned it on again, i saw the msg: No operating system found. I'm rly panic now... Plz help me.

on the very first boot screen is there a line reading
recovery [or similar] press f10 or whatever??
if so, that should repair it, but if you get the no operating system found, go for warranty work.

@othehill: yes i bought it at a sony shop, completely new ( at least they said so). I'm wondering abt it now.

@moutain: :( sadly i dont see that... thank you. I'll go for warranty then.
If i do so, do you know how long does it take to fix this?

If you bought it very recently I would demand a replacement.

Thanks very much for yr help but it doesn't seem like i can replace a new one since i bought it in another country. Laptops in my country are even less trust worthy...
But do u know how long does it take to repair?
