Hi. I was messing around in my Bios recently trying different things that might make Vista stop crashing. I searched around in the advanced settings and since i thought my video card (Nvidia 7600GS) might have been the culprit, I changed some video setting. Now, I can start my computer up but i have no video output or access to my BIOS at all. What good is a computer if it just turns on and you cannot do anything with it. Any ideas on what I can do to fix this?

i would use the CMOS battery clear jumper. this would set the bios settings back to the default settings which are usually low level settings which in most cases will let the computer work (although not neccessarily at optimum performance level).
If that still does not let an image appear on the screen i would remove graphics card and insert an old type PCI graphics card (lots of people have something like an old 2mb pci card laying around for testing etc).
Does your computer also have built in graphics?, if so try putting the monitor lead on that socket to see if you can get an image and access bios.

Thanks for the advice. I fixed the problem. Apparently some Intel boards do not reset after pulling out the battery which i tried first and let sit for 5 hours. I moved the CMOS jumper which booted me right into the BIOS where i could fix my problem. It ended up that i changed my video settings to auto instead of PCI something PEG. I have no idea what that means but i hope this helps anyone else who has a similar problem.
