Comment:

The chipset of my motherboard gets overheated, and the system was getting resterted,

SO it sent it to intel for reapair.

I got it after 2 months, and i was charged a sum as replacement cost.

I had the same probelum with the motherboard which i got back (i got the same one back).

I have to wait again for 2 months for getting the motherboard again.

I searched the intel website and found no information for direct support.

I have found a lot of defective Motherdoards by intel at shops. Why intels products are going defective.

Should i choose intel product when i buy the next computer.

Surely better cooling would be better than sending away mobo ???

What makes you so sure the motherboard chipset overheated?

Not because of improper cooling.

only the chipset ( i meant the large chip with no cooling fan, or heat zinc) . When i make the computer on for a 10 minutes, we cant touch it.. the chip gets that hot.

Chipsets get hot, some more than others. Some have a heatsink w/fan, some have a heatsink, & some have nothing...it depends on the make/model of the chip.

If this is a system that worked fine for some time, then started to have problems, it could be any number of things causing the restarting issue. You've focused on the chipset because you think it's too hot...it may be too hot, then again, it may well be within the acceptable range. What else have you considered?

Other than your insisting that the chipset is too hot, you've told us nothing about your system. You haven't told us the make/model of the board or which Intel chipset it's based on. You didn't tell us which CPU & RAM you have, the make/model/wattage of your power supply, how many IDE devices you're running, how many case cooling fans you have, etc. In other words, you haven't provided enough info to be able to get the help you're looking for.

From George's website, in India...

"We all are exposed to computers and computer industry for more than ten years. We all have a good knowledge about working of computers and how to use it in an efficient way."

Yeah, sure sounds like it.

Who gave you people access to a computer?

I have connected to board on different SMPS, RAM, IDE, (ad without RAM, or DISK)

At the service center, they upgraded the bios.

The machine had 1 GB ram, Nvidia Graphics Card, Raid, 4 HDD, 2DVD writers, A CD Drive .

I tried in every posible combinations but the probelum rersists.

The chip becomes soo hot, too hot (too much) and then it gets restart.
