my computer seems to boot but soon after booting the screen goes black and the monitor light is yellow. I have a video card when i pull it out the same happens with the on board video

Has it always done this or just recently ? Can you give more specs, such as psu model, amps on the +12v rail, motherboard type, type of RAM. Did Intel manufacture your computer(as far as I know they don't make computers), or is that the cpu ? motherboard ?

Also, can you be more specific about "soon after booting". Do you seen anything on the monitor before it goes black? If so what's the last line you see?
Do you get the initial single beep?

I had a that problem a while ago. Does it get to the Windows loading screen then go black? If you can boot in safe-mode then fixing your resolution settings should help if not the BIOS may need to be reset.

It has jsut started this the psu model a turbo link model lc a350 atx 4 amp the motherboard is an asus and ram is 512MB PC3200 ECC DDR400 DIMM. soon after is now is never. It was giving the bios info but now nothing and now no beep.
