I just bought a brand new HD i plugged it in and booted from the xp bootable cd, it installed some files ten restarted as normal, it didn't go through the full windows install. now when i boot up it says no fixed disk present, even if i try from and boot floppy. the pins are correct, the ide cable is good amd the bios looks good.
