No DVI-D Signal on computer start up

December 29, 2009 at 09:23:16
Specs: Windows XP
Every now and then my monitor shows "NO DVI-D SIGNAL" on start up. And then it powers itself off. I have to reboot a couple of times (sometimes 5-6 times) before my monitor finally turns on.

This does not happen every time I turn my computer on. But it has been happening more often than not. Need help.

It's not the monitor. The problem is it's not getting a signal from the video card. So either the card is failing or possibly the power supply.
