and its a normal error if you aren't using that interface like I am not. I get the message every boot.

I've had problems using FastTrak cards as regular ATA cards. Do you have a FastTrak card installed? If so you sould probably get a regular Promise Ultra DMA card instead. If you don't have that card installed it's probably an option in your cmos/bios setup that can be disabled or modified.
