I have a Packard Bell easynote laptop, and recently my CD/DVDR/W dissapeared from windows, it also does not show up in the bios, I am using XP Pro SP2, and the drive is a NEC, any help would be great I am really stumped

Check the Disk Manager, to see if it's there.

Do yourself a favor BACKUP!

i had that problm on my toshiba after i dropped it...can you remove it? if so, take it out and put it back in..then reset the comp? onc ei removed it and made sure it was going in all the way it worked fine


I JUST LOST 287 gigs entertainment!
