|My ACER Aspire T160 boots fine off an IDE boot drive, running Windows 7 Pro. |
After I added two SATA drives (2TB each), the computer now won't boot up, getting stuck at the ACER logo screen.
However, if I disconnect the SATA drives, the computer boots up fine. After it boots up, I can reconnect the SATA cables and windows 7 recognize the drives fine. I set them up as one striped volume (GPT software RAID 0) in Windows 7. The drives are ok and I can copy and read data to the volume. So it seems the drives are working fine in Windows 7.
Why can't the computer boot up with SATA drives connected? It will be a pain to disconnect and reconnect the SATA cables everytime I want to boot!
