system will boot up and go 2 a black screen with that message "no bootable device--insert boot disk and press any key

... try tapping the <F8> <key> @ bootup and select "repair" if you see a menu.

... if no joy enter your bios to see if can detect the drive.

... remove any cd's ( ...or floppy) first ... lol

Check the boot order in cmos/bios setup and make sure the hard drive is showing there and is enabled as a boot device.

Real men don't use AntiVirus; they just reformat
