Okay,ive set up the system:
Asus P4P800 Deluxe
Pentium 4 2.6c 800fsb
1024 mb ddr 400mhz(2x512,dual)
Sata maxtor 120 gb
pioneer dvd 120
Q-tec 550w PSU
Viper v770 Graphics card(for 2 days,until i get a radeon 9600pro)
floppy
case 6A Series
When i first set it on voltage(connected with the fuse) the electricity in the house went down(?)...then,i turned everything up,did it again and the system began ok.
Now the 3 fans are working okay(2 native and 1 on processor),the green led lights okay, but i see nothing on screen, nothing at all.
Im no good at setting jumpers etc but i havent messed anything on the mobo..i just connected the cables of the case face up to the mo/bo(face up=the letters are faced up-like"power sw").
Unfortunately the case doesnt have a speaker,so theres no beeping, and i just cant get whats going on!!
moreover,i think i might have scratched only a little the processor on top, while trying to place the cooler-thing on top..could it be harmful?
or maybe the viper, thats an oldie card(dont know if its agp and how many volts it is...)
plz help any way u can,any suggestions are really welcome.

Okay, well, from the stats you give you have the potential of a nice unit there.
#1. What do you mean, "set on voltage"? Do you mean the 220/110 switch in the back? You should be set on 120V/60Cycles. Some PSs have European settings-220V/50Cycles-you don't want those.
#2. Connecting the power cord: you probably are okay, but there should be a snap/catch on the cord and a receiver in the plug that will indicate which way it goes in. Don't pay any attention to the Lettering.
#3. You must have a mobo case speaker, every case I have seen comes with one. Those beeps can tell you a lot when troubleshooting. Certain patterns of beeps are coded to indicate problems-it's in your manual. Either you are not reaching the BIOS when power-up so you don't get to the point of getting a beep, or you haven't connected the cable coming from the case speaker into the mobo. There are a whole group of sockets in one place on the mobo, and your various indicator cables (HDD light, power light, case speaker, etc.) plug into them.
#4. Viper card-if it is older, and ISA, that could be one of your problems. Find an AGP card of any kind at least 4X and swap it; you don't have to install the drivers, you just need a connection to get video.
#5. A damaged/dead CPU will give you the problems you are having, but you won't know for sure until you swap out that V.Card. I am not sure if a tiny scratch will damage the CPU or not, but if you get everything else in proper order and it still does the same thing, try to find a CPU to swap out with and check it out. OR, find a wonderful friend who will let you swap your
CPU into his case and try to boot. If his unit won't boot with your CPU, you have your answer.
At least this will get you started. I wish you the best.
