The issue that I am having is this.

I recieve No Boot Devices when I try to boot my laptop up.. I have tried a few things to work this out but nothing has worked so far... this laptop has no A:\ or Floopy Drive so I can not use a boot disk, I have checked Boot.Ini, I have tried looking in the Bios for Boot Order.. I do not see anything about Auto Detect in the Bios or anything.. if that is what I need to do can anyone tell me how to find it? The Bios is A17... Can anyone help me? Thanks in advanced.

If you can not boot from hard drive or CDROM then would presume the Controller Chip is US!

If you can buy a Laptop to IDE adaptor you can put the laptop hard drive in a PC to test that the hard drive itself has not self destructed.

The drive boots up just fine if booted internally(F12) But that is the only way and even then it tends to cut off from time to time and I end up losing Data that I saved last. I can boot from the hard drive and get up to windows and everything but it tells me that there are no boot devices when I boot up but I can go in internally through F12 and it loads ok.
