i took out my harddrive in a hp pavilion,pryed on it to get it out...put it back in an now it wont boot up ,says no boot device...insert boot cd...but no partition space shows to install os on...help

It sounds like you might have done some damage. Pull the drive, inspect the connectors of both the laptop and drive.

You never pry something out. Remove the retaining screws or
clips and gently slide or lift it out. Check for damage.
