when i boot i,m told pxe-e61 media test failure check cable and pxe-m0f:exiting bradcom pxe rom.no boot device detected.also my hdd makes a clicking noise while booting but quites when done.any help would help.thanks to all.
The clicking noise means the HDD is about to fail. The "pxe-e61 media test failure" means the system is trying to boot off a network but since none is detected, it's suggesting you check the cable. It could be the BIOS is bypassing the HDD & moving on to the next device in the boot order...the network? Check the boot order settings in the BIOS & remove LAN from the list.
