Computer ran fine- I flashed the bios A08 to A09 and on the rebbot from the flash, it states no boot device available. Bios is set to #1 which is USB,CD, Sata HD. I know it is a setting somewhere as I CAN BOOT if I hit F12, then go to start from Sata H.D. and it boots perfectly. I get two short beeps on booting up. Remember- the computer ran fine for months before the flash of the Bios. Hard drives are listed as Sata-0 and Sata-1. Raid is set to "raid Auto detect/AHCI or "No raid", (default setting).
Thanks!!

If your computer was running fine for months why did you flash the BIOS?
Are you sure the BIOS file you used is fully compatible with your MBoard?
The settings you refer to are meaningless to those of us that don't own your model computer.

I am going to upgrade my CPU chip, which from what I have read, needs the bios upgraded. I downloaded the upgrade from Dell. It is their file- the upgrade I guess was sucessful as it shows the new number on the Splash screen-A09. I was hoping someone has some info for me?
thanks

I would guess this is simply a matter of resetting the values then. Your options mentioned seem to be contridictory. "Raid is set to "raid Auto detect/AHCI or "No raid", (default setting)". Have you tried setting values at defaults for now? Are you using RAID?

I am "not" using raid, and the no raid set up is as I defined with Dell "Auto....."
I think my next move is resetting the Bios to the Default settings and try again.
