OS: XP Media center
CPU/Ram: Celeron 340/512MB DDR
Product: self built
Comment:

I have a XP Media center PC, self built,
Machspeed Matrix P4M800 motherboard socket 478
Intel celeron 340 2.93GHz Socket 478
512MB of DDR
It was powered off when lightening occured, after that it doesn't boot. No beep and no post, tried with other monitor, and swaped with RAM still no luck. Even I tried with good working Pentium 4 processor socket 478 (from other PC) still no luck, same status.
Do I need to shop for new mobo and processor?
Any help appreciated.

You say it was powerd off but was the mains lead actually removed. If it was still in place you could still have been effected by lightening. The first thing I would consider is the power supply. Thats the first thing in line and the most likely to get damaged.

I tried with new power supply, still no luck.
Even with old power supply, I see all the fans were running.

Disconnect all the drives, pull all the cards except the video card (if there is one) and RAM.

If still no beep, pull the RAM.

Still no beep(s), it kinda looks like the motherboard. The original power supply might be blown as well.

Yep ALWAYS unplug before a lightning storm. A lot of people just think turning off the computer will keep lightning from striking it, but to be honest, that does absolutely nothing. That computer is definitely fried.
