Sometimes, during the cleaning process (especially on really dirty systems that require a paintbrush for the real grime), a plastic jumper can be knocked loose - or a cable can be loosened up just enough to prevent the machine from powering up. It sounds like a power or monitor signal problem to me.

Unplug the machine . . .

Get out your mobo manual and find out where the CMOS/Bios jumper is located. If you knocked off the jumper by accident, then the machine won't turn on. Replacing it on the proper pins (normally 1 & 2) should take care of that.

Is your monitor cable securely attached to the jack in the back of the computer? If that cable is just loose enough - the monitor won't give you anything on the screen, even if the machine powers up.

As crazy as it may sound - have you checked the connection to your power cable? Although none of us like to admit it, we do make stupid mistakes on occassion. Just the other day I forgot to plug a power cable into my hard disk which was so ridiculous that it actually took me 5 minutes before I noticed it.

Speaking of power cables . . .
Check all of the red/yellow/black connections to your drives and make sure that one is plugged into each of them. Remember, a cable can prevent things from running properly, just by being loose - and not off completely. Post back here, and let us know if you got it going again.

Hey Intel, AMD rulez!
