Purchased Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000 for myself and daughter. We can not get AUDIO but great video with MSN Instant Messenger 6.1. I search the internet and the vendors' websites to get help, but to no avail. Apparently, others have similar problem, but I have not seen an answer to this problem. Vendors did not reply with an answer either.
My computer has Windows 2000 Prof and it is behind a Linksys router. ISP is Adelphia with cable modem. Webcam's video and microphone checked out fine.
I bypassed the router and still NO AUDIO, so I guess it's not the firewall in the router.

Are you depending on the built in microphone or using an add on one ? I found with my Quick Cam the built in Mic would never work .I plugged a seperate microphone into my sound card at the rear of my tower .Then I opened the sound properties and made sure the mic wasnt muted .I found when my Mic was not detected ,that by opening the sound recorder utility in Windows ,that for some reason that helped my system detect the mic ! Take Care Nick

Nick, I tried both, webcam mic and audio card mic, same result NO audio. Interesting is that I was able to communicate with one person and not the others. I tried Windows XP, too.
I tried also Windows Messenger, Netmeeting and Microsoft Portrait with similar result, NO audio. No response from Logitech support.
