no audio usb headset

i bought these headphones which are mikomi usb no cd driver came with this its just plug and play. i tried them on another windows xp sys. and the headphones worked good but they wont work on this system the other sys is a dell as well. the other sys says found new hardware but not the one im trying to set up now. the sound card is soundmax integrated digital audio the driver date is 25/1/2005 and if it is a driver issue im finding it very hard to find an updated driver for this sound card for a intel motherboard.ive checked c:\windows\inf files and system 32 files and all is ok. any ideas will be much helpfull... thanks

I take it that the sound card is working w/ speakers. Is that correct? If it is, then I don't see why you would need to update the sound card drivers. Look at the device manager for any yellow exclimation points or question marks.
