Comment:

I can't get any audio at all out of my Computer, I have installed Everest and it tells me that I have something called an

Intel 82801BA ICH2X - AC'97 Audio Controller [B - 0] Type: PCI,

and an MPU-401-compatible type: PnP.

I went to Intel to try and find drivers or something, but apparently the above things don't exist, and I'm running out of ideas....

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!

The on-board audio driver is usually supplied by your motherboard. You can find it in the CD provided or you need to go to the motherboard manufacturer website to download.

Generally, you go by the motherboard make & model - you'll get the complete set of drivers that way (probably updated too)

At any rate, Driverguide seems to have one

Computers in the future may have only 1,000 vacuum tubes and perhaps only weigh 1 1/2 tons.
