No array defined error on boot

hello,

just built a new system around a a7v333 mobo with althlonxp 2.4 and 2 maxtor hdd's
40 and 120 resectivly.

when booting it takes a while while scanning the hard drives and then an error message 'no array defined' is shown.

they are set to master and slave respectivley and are not connected to the promise raid ide's on the mobo

any clues on what to do ?

Check your RAID settings in BIOS.

Your computer is looking for a HDD array on your RAID IDEs and not finding any.

I have the same mobo and there is a raid jumper about two inches from the end of the agp slot. The factory default is enabled so you'll need to set that, I had the same problem
