Hi, Since I had upgraded Vista to sp2 I have lost my analog signal to my stereo speakers. I have tried changing it in the Realtek HD audio manager but I cannot highlight the analog green spot on the rear panel, it only stays on the yellow digital spot. Any ideas on how to get the analog signal back? I have no digital speakers or 5.1 speakers connected. My pc has the Realtek ALC888 chip and the drivers are up to date. Cheers

Oh, never mind when you say analog you mean 2 Speakers Stereo as apposed to 5.1 Surround sound.
Control Panel -> Sound -> Configure -> Select Stereo for audio channel.
Hit Test to make sure it works.

I did mean 2 speaker stereo. Stereo was highlighted in the control panel and I tested but no sound. It was trying. In the Realtek audio manager I used to be able to select the analog back panel but not now, that's why I was thinking the fault lay there. The cables are all in on computer and speakers unless there is a fault there but it seems a bit of a coincidence. I have just tried connecting the front ones and I get a sign saying a device has been plugged in and the headphones worked but when I do it with the rears I did actually get a sign saying it was plugged in but no noise. A problem with the rear panel maybe or is it something else?
