I just finished this computer which will be my second comp made. I started it up and all seemed well i started formatting hard drive and it shut itself off. I then proceeded to restart and it wouldnt so i switched the back power switch off for 5 mins did it again and it started up i went to bios checked everything saved changes and it went off again. Now after checking all connections and polarities. Making sure no pins are broken or anything. Right now my monitor won't start either it says no signal. The video card was good prior to this comp because i used it on my other computer. What do u think? I think the hard drive may have some problems. I checked power to and the power supply is 550 W max Thank you

Possible overheating issue. Pentium cpu has thermal cutoff to prevent it burning out.

Does your motherboard have onboard video? If so, you will want to make sure to disable it on your BIOS before connecting up to your graphics card. Also, if you have both onboard video and a separate graphics card, make sure you have the monitor cable connected to the correct video port.

symtoms are most likely caused by overheating processor or bad hard drive.
