Specs: Windows Vista
I have a diamond stealth vid card in my older 2000 ME. I would like to know if this will work in my newer Windows Vista Home Basic?

Not enough information. Model number or something to identify the card would help.

If it has a Windows Vista driver available, and the card will plug into the mainboard (which also has to have Windows Vista drivers), you may be in luck.

Yes, if you have a slot for it on your motherboard and if Vista provides native support for the card's chipset. Even if there's no Vista drivers for the card, the OS will provide basic VGA support for it. That way you can use it until you find a Vista-compatible card.

Will it work? Only if your Vista system's motherboard has the proper slot for it. And depending on the age/make/model of the card, it may not even be as fast as modern onboard graphics.
