I bought a new webcam, the "Logitech QuickCam Connect" I have a mains powered USB hub so I plugged it into that. Also, I already have an old webcam present. Anyway, when I plugged in the new webcam, I got a balloon message up saying not enough USB bandwidth or something. I unplugged it and this in turn made all my system sounds sound lower, which was odd - I restarted, without the webcam plugged in, and the sounds were ok again. However, my old webcam doesn't show up - when I try to use it, I get the "not enough bandwidth" error balloon in the corner. I get this *even though* my new webcam isn't plugged in! There was enough bandwidth to run it before. Why is there not now?
It's a bit annoying, any ideas?
Cheers

start from scratch. make sure both cams are unplugged. pull out the hub. reinstall the usb drivers, restart. then put the hub in let it be recognized then put the new camera in. is the hub usb powered? or do you have the option of ac power. one of mine has both. gave me problems when i used it without the ac plug.
