I would like to install a new video card.
SHould I uninstall the old video card drivers first and then install the new video card or should I install the new video card and then the new drivers and THEN uninstall the old card drivers?thank you

Uninstall the old divers first. You should the revert back to Standard VGA adaptor. It will be low resolution but enough to see what you are doing.
Turn of the computer, remove the old video card, install the new one then install the new drivers last.

You didn't state whether you have an actual card or if you're using onboard video.
Before installing the new card, uninstall the old video drivers by going to control panel > add/remove. After the drivers have been removed, shutdown & install the new card. If your new card requires an aux power connection, make sure to connect it. The next step will vary depending on whether your old video was onboard or not. If you actually swapped one card for another, just boot directly into Windows & install the new video driver. However, if you were using onboard video, boot up & immediately enter the BIOS...look for settings related to the onboard video. There may be an enable/disable setting, a shared memory setting or an initial display setting. It's also possible that the onboard will auto-disable when a card is detected & you won't have to change any settings. You won't know until you look.
