Subject: New Toshiba USB hard disk problem
OS: XP pro
CPU/Ram: Not sure
Model/Manufacturer: Intel
Comment:

Since fitting my new Toshiba USB 320 gig hard disk the computer won't boot up with it switched on.
I have to switch it on after XP is booted up when it works OK.
I get the message " NTLDR is missing ".
What's a NTLDR ?
Anyone help ?
Cheers

I expect the answer is in the first hit!!!!!

It's not that I can't remember things as I get older, it's just that my hard drive's full.

Well I have lots of information but no solution.
It appears that obviously the problem is the new USB HD but what to do about it I know not.
Any further light ?
Thanks everybody.

I cracked it !
Igot in the BIOS and changed the boot-up order from Raid/SCSI to SCSI/Raid and it worked.
Thanks everyone,
