Hi, i just bought new speakers for my computer and they won't work, i plugged them into my cd player to make sure they work, and they did, so they just don't work on my computer. It's a 3 piece speaker set with 2 small desktop speakers and a subwoofer. I don't know much about this stuff, so i'll try to describe it... my old speakers were just 2 desktop speakers that had an orange cable that went into the orange plug in the back of my computer. On the new ones, the manual told me to put the orange plug from 1 small speaker into the subwoofer, and then the subwoofer has a lime green hole in the back where i plugged in a lime green cable that goes into the lime green hole in the back of the computer that says "out" right next to the orange one that the speakers used to go into. So i don't know what's wrong, do i have to change my system settings for my computer to use these speakers or something? I looked in control panel but none of the speaker settings matched what i have so i just left it at 2 desktop speakers. Thanks in advance for the help.
