Comment: hi, i just bought a 80 gb seagate sata hdd, i installed the hdd but when i boot up the comp ( i have msi 7021 with vt 8237 ), the raid bios cant read any of my hdd ( i have an maxtor 80 gb sata and new seagate 80 gb sata ). So i swapped the sata slot and the raid bios reads them with no prob. Hence i ran seagate disc wizard to setup my new seagate hdd. But when i try to format the drive, it stopped at 2% around 20 minutes or so, so i decided to reset. Then tried over and over again with seagate disc wizard ( zero fill), fdisk, tried format the hdd with win xp cd and killdisk tools, but no luck, the drive still cant be formatted, just stopped once format process starts. Killdisk reads multiple disk errors and stopped respponding. however i managed to get it formatted with ntfs with win xp pro cd, but bsod when completed (viamraid.sys). I booted from my maxtor hdd and got the new hdd to recognised in win xp, but the drive size is 0gb and when i try to format it in win xp, bsod poped up. Killdisk tools also reads boot sector as a question mark ( boot sector:? ). any idea wat can i do to get this hdd formatted??? -Io
