I recently tried to upgrade a Sony Vaio and after adding 2 new sticks of pc66 64mb ram all I got was a blank screen. The machine in question has an intel mobo. The specs at Sony.com and the Intel site for the mobo told me that this machine uses pc66 and could be installed singly or in pairs. I tried many different configurations including the existing ram (32mb)+ one stick 64mb. Two new sticks 64mb. One new stick. The only thing that works is the old memory. With all of the others all I get is a blank screen, the monitor will not even turn on. Has anyone ever experienced this? If so enlighten me. Please. Thank you.
