Currently have a 2 module ram setup, each a 128MB PC100 SDRAM module. I took a 256MB PC100 SDRAM mod from a friend's computer (it was working), and put it in my own, replacing one of the 128's. Both Manuf. websites claim that the exact module I'm putting IN, is compatible... The first 3 times I booted up, I got 3 beeps, blank screen, and NO green light (stayed orange) on monitor. Reseated things, moved 'em around, then best I get is NO beeps, still blank screen, and still orange light, no green GO light. Can anyone help me before Johnny 5 here goes off the dock? :)

Three beeps on an AMI bios system is a RAM problem. No beeps at all means a dead system. Sounds like you zapped something.

First try just one stick of your original 128 RAM. If things boot, try both sticks, and then try the 256 piece by itself.

Is it ram that is 133 but can clock down to 100 and 66? cuz that stuff might not work in it, ram like pny, kingston did that but now they make specific ram speeds.

Three bleeps mean a video card init failure.
If the RAM continuous bleeping when the PC power is on.

It's possible you bumped the video card loose, even when the video card don't appear to be loose. If nothing at all, bad, there's a high likelihood the heat sink popped off
and/or bumped the heat sink, thus the processor got damaged.
