Hi,

I'm planning on buying a new PSU, i was looking at this one:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...

580Watt, ATX2.0, looks nice so what do you guys think about it?

Also, i never had a ATX2.0 PSU before, this one has two +12v rails, is there anything special about connecting components when having two 12v rails?

thanks in advance.

It's not ATX2.0, it's ATX12V 2.0...there's a difference. And since you didn't list your system specs, it's difficult to say whether a 580W/SLi certified PSU is necessary or not. The PSU has decent specs so it should be fine...it may be overkill for your system though.

Assuming this is for a workhorse system, that is likely to be used for things like gaming.

In addition to the dual +12V rail, if the PSU is cool, isn't too noisy & the MBTF is decent enough and it has a great warranty support. It might just be a very good bargain, considering how components (video cards) are getting more power hungry these days.

Like jam wrote - it all depends on the systems components & primary use.
