X-Connect 400w PSU are nice to look at and get rid of the rat's nest most PSU's give you.

You can look at them here:
http://www.frozencpu.com

Antec True powers are nice as well, all depends on what kind of system your looking to build or upgrade.

got sleep?

h4ckler,

I couldn't find the X-Connect 400 on the website that you linked me to, nor www.newegg.com which would be the place I'd like to purchase from.

I think I'm debating between these two PSUs:

http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproductdesc.asp?description=17-103-908&DEPA=0 (Antec TruePower 430W)

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-153-007&depa=0 (Thermaltake Silent PurePower 480W)

But if I were to get the Thermaltake - I'd get the same one but with a silver housing not the black. NewEgg offers both.

What do you guys think?

- Steven

Color is your preference. Check newegg reviews, I always look at bad first and see if there may be a chance of getting something undesired.

Otherwise I go for it. Most neweggers know what their talking about. They haven't failed me yet. Neither has computing.net when it comes to hardware suggestions.

Chad,

Thanks for the reply!

Well, color really isn't my preference. I just want something that is stable, reliable, 400W or more, and reasonably quiet.

Both those PSUs I picked out seem to be decent. I don't know which one to get. The Thermaltake is less expensive and 480W, the Antec is 430W and more expensive. I wonder why. *so confused*

Hmmmm. Well thanks for the replies guys.

Hey that rhymed. :P
