Reply: (edit)Did you go into BIOS and disable onboard video? Don't mean to oversimplify, but those things are easy to overlook sometimes. Adios.

Reply: (edit)I think I am having a similar problem installing a new PCI Video card - it's a PINE M64 with nVidia TNT2 32M. PC is an old AST Bravo MS 5166 (513247-102) PII 166Mhz with 128M RAM, on-board graphics is ATI Rage II+ 3D PCI with 2M video RAM. The BIOS (ver 1.5) has an option to disable on-board sound (16bit Sound blaster compat) and network interface but not the video. When I install the new video card, with monitor plugged into the new card, I see a bios-like text message from the TNT2, followed by the normal BIOS message but machine hangs after that. Suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks
