I'm building a new computer and need an advice on a motherboard.
I'm thinking of getting a E6750 dual core cpu and was browsing on newegg and found the following ones listed below that should be good for it.
I'm specifically looking for a motherboard with 2IDE controllers and a 1333 FSB.
So the following ones came up. I'm just not sure which ones to pick.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You may want to check out Portatech.com out of California. I bought my last 3 systems from them. They have great priceses and reliable computers. All 3 of them are still working great. Two of which are over 3 years old now.

Try searching Pricewatch.com. They are the best Price search website. They take you exactly to the website they recommend. Other services that compare prices make you jump through hoops to get to a company that sells the parts.

NewEgg is good but some of the companies that sell on pricewatch will give you discounts, a lot give you free shipping.

Thanks, but I want to build the system myself. Its more fun that way.
I just wanted people's opinion on the motherboards to see if they were any good or not.

Pricewatch.com is OK if you also check on Resellerratings.com to see if the company is any good. There are many bad companies out there.

Newegg is a first class online vendor that I don't hesitate to recommend. I buy most of whatever I buy online from them. Ebay is like Pricewatch.com. Some good, some bad.

Buying a MBoard that may be a return or a refurbish isn't worth the potential trouble.

All the MBoards you link to are similiar. Are you planning on using SLI? If so you may want to reconsider. First of all, SLI is of questionable value to start with but with the 650 chipset the cards will only run at PCIe x 8 in SLI mode. The 680 chipset gives the full 16 each but has onle one IDE controller. If not planning to use SLI I would have other recommendations.

The Realtek ALC888 HD Audio is better than the onboard 6 channel on the second board.

Below is a link to nVidia.com. There is a link on that page for a chipset comparison chart. Look at it.

No, I'm not planning on using SLI. Its just a coincidence that the motherboards i looked at have 2 pci-e 16x slots.
I am looking for a motherboard that has 2 ide controllers. For some reason most of the new ones have only 1. I remember reading somewhere that its bad to have a hard drive and a cd/dvd using the same ide controller - it will slow down the system.

Having an optical drive and a harddrive on the same controller will only slow each other down if BOTH are accessed at the same time. Otherwise it is a carryover from when that WAS true.

I only pointed out that the SLI on the 650 chipset doesn't run the cards as fast as the 680. Personally I wouldn't waste my money on a SLI setup at all.

You can use the advanced settings in newegg's site to narrow the selection down.

As OtheHill pointed out, the slowdown issues were from back in the "old days". I suggest you get a board based on the Intel P35 chipset & just pair up the HDD & optical drive on the same cable. You can always add an IDE controller card if you prefer them on separate channels...or buy an SATA HDD instead & your problem will be solved.

Thats actually a good suggestions. I might just buy a board with 1 ide and get a IDE controller card.
I have 2 Ide hard drives, thats why i need to be able to connect all of them.
