Comment:

I have just built the following PC:

Motherboard: Asus A7V8X-X
CPU: Athlon 2600
Memory: Crucial 512 DDR333 PC2700 DIMM
Graphics Card: Gainward GeForce4 Ultra 650TV Golden Sample 128MB
PSU: QTEC 550 Watt PSU
Case: Superflower SF-702T1-BL ATX

And when I boot up the Mother board power lights come on, the CD drives lights flash and all the system fans activate, but I get nothing after this, no beep, no signal to the monitor and no Power to the keyboard (USB). Does anyone have any suggestions?

I've been through most of the forums, and I heard mention of a four pin power connector, but can't find any mention of this in my Motherboard documentation, I just have one ATX 20 Pin power connector. I've tried reomoving the graphics card, but get the same problem, and I don't have a spare graphics card to try. I'm new at PC building I'm not even sure if I have the PC speaker wired correctly

If this is the board it won't have a four pin connector so that's something you don't need to worry about.

Are you booting with the bare min., and I mean CPU w/cooler, RAM, and VID? If not, strip all non-essentials for POST and see if that gets you somewhere.

Next, Reseat components, RAM (ensure correct installation), VID, and double ck the CPU Fan and make sure it's plugged into the MOBO.

Next, ensure the Power and Reset Swtiches, and LED lites are connected to the MOBO correctly according to the manual, sometimes you have to switch them to get them to work.

Check to make sure that you have the right voltage setting on your PSU. I had the same problem when setting up my new comp. Also, check the case to mobo power conections.
