New motherboard Power Hookup

CPU/Ram: AMD Athlon 3200+, 1.5 gig

I just bought a amd MSI k9n4 sli-f socket am2 nfore 500 atx mobo. I was wondering if i use a 24 pins power connector do i need to also hook up the 4 pin power connector to, because it doesn't say in the manual.

Yes, you have to hook up the 24-pin plug PLUS the 4-pin plug.
