Asus M4a78t-e motherboard

Specs: Windows 7, AMD Phenon 2 955
Went and picked up a new Mother board (Asus M4A78T-E), CPU (AMD Phenom 2 955 BE) and two 4gig sticks of ram, and a 600 watt coolermaster power supply. Saw them boot it up and set up a few things in the bios at the store. Got it all home and hooked up into my case. I turned it on, it booted everything looked like it was there. It gave me a few options.. I put my windows 7 dvd in the drive and hit F2 which was something along the lines of boot/continue normally I think. HDD led came on and the screen went blank. The led eventually stopped and now It wont boot or post or do anything. Any ideas what the problem could be or how to fix it?

My first guess was maybe it tried to boot from the hard drive that was configured for my old setup? btw my old setup was a Asus board with a AMD Athalon 64. Thank you for any help.

Just wanted to clarify. The mother board will not post is the real problem, not windows booting. I turn on the power, and nothing comes on up on the monitor and no beeps from the computer. Yet when I first turned it on, it posted fine and I could see the startup menu.
