hi, i am looking at buying a new laptop. I have been looking and i have found this:

If you have little or no need for the laptop to be portable, as in, have it run it on it's battery, don't buy one. Buying one merely because it is smaller is NOT a good idea - you get much more for the same money if you buy a desktop or tower system, even if it's a slim one or a minimally sized one.
