I'm thinking about purchasing a new laptop for my sister, she will mostly need it to do homework and some multimedia stuff. No games at all. Problem is.. i have NO clue about laptops. Can someone give me some good advice or point me to some websites so i can sharpen up my skills.

P.S. Should i try to get a dual core processor... or 2 processors working together... doh - help me. Price range is $1200 tops.

I bought my laptop from tofftech and it cost me less than £500 pound including the vat and delivery. Their delivery option is excellent. Whatever you buy, just pay £4.95 for the nextday delivery.
