New Hardrive Failed

Toshiba Toshiba mk8032gsx/mk8034gsx hdd2...

Specs: Windows Vista
My laptop suffered some physical damage for the first time. After that a blank screen was all it would show. I took it to Geek Squad and they replaced my hard drive. The laptop worked fine for a week (besides constantly freezing...) but now a window keeps popping up saying a hard disk problem has been detected and that I need to replace the hard drive. I just got a new one almost two weeks ago and I have not downloaded or saved anything. I don't see how anything could be wrong with it. Help?

If you paid to have it repaired then take it back and complain.
They've obviously not done a good enough job. You also said that the unit suffered some physical damage? How? Was it dropped? Was the constant freezing evident before the other damage/HDD replacement? Failure of a brand new HDD is unlikely but not impossible but I would suspect there is some other undiagnosed problem with the system. Could be the ram.

It was slammed. And it's never had this kind of freezing problem before.
Thanks for your reply.
